Our Approach

We are here to support you and your family to have a positive experience of pregnancy, birth and in the early weeks and months of your new life with your baby or babies.

At MarvellousMammas we care deeply about your journey to parenthood and are here to support and share with you the joys and challenges of becoming parents. We aim to empower you to feel secure, confident and calm in the choices that you will face about your birth and also about how you decide to care for your baby. We offer a variety of services which you can choose from depending of the needs of your family and we are here to help you decide what service might suit you best. Our values are compassion, kindness and community as we recognise how important it is that mothers and fathers are supported at this incredibly important time in their lives. We support and nurture you so you can in turn provide that to your babies.

Our Founder

Marvellous Mammas was founded by Christina Johnson a Health Psychologist and Human Givens Psychotherapist. She has also worked as a doula, maternity nurse, KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner. Christina teaches a variety of classes including practical baby care classes, baby massage, baby bonding and baby brains classes. She is also passionate about maternal mental health and offers a range of services including counselling, coaching and relaxation sessions for expectant and new parents.

As a mum herself and after working in social care for 30 years Christina wanted to set up the MarvellousMammas community to provide a nurturing space where families can access a whole range of services to support them as they become parents and begin their life journey together.

About Christina

I live and work in the busy, bustling vibrant and cosmopolitan city of London. “I have always been fascinated by people and their stories and the journeys that we are all on. This fascination led me to study psychology at University. I have been blessed to be able to listen and journey with many people over the years who have shared their deepest fears and joys with me. I believe that being able to reach out to others in times of great difficulty or distress is what makes us all human and binds us together. We need to recreate a sense of community and belonging where we can all be nurtured, cared for and in turn care for others”
