Meet The Therapist

Can you tell us about the type of therapy you practice?

The Human Givens approach is a practical, holistic and scientific approach which focuses on what individuals need to live mentally healthy and fulfilling lives and was developed by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrell in the late 1990s.

The counselling I offer includes elements of

  • Person Centred Counselling
  • Solution focused therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Relaxation Skills and Guided Imagery
  • Rewind technique for processing traumatic memories

What do you wish people knew about therapy?

Therapy is a place of growth, healing and nourishment for you so you can have the space and time to feel supported and have your feelings validated. You may be challenged at times to enable new patterns of thinking and behaving to emerge. You will leave therapy with the skills to look after yourself and with a greater understanding of what you need to live a happy and healthy life.

Christina offers counselling support from her private practice in Marylebone and Camden or via online meetings. She has also worked with parents based in London at their home or place of work by arrangement. She blends her considerable training in the field of mental health with her experience of supporting hundreds of parents through pregnancy, birth and beyond in London and around the world.

What attracted you to becoming a therapist?

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by peoples inner world and from the age of fifteen decided that I wanted to work as a psychologist to support others on their quest to lead happy, healthy and contented lives. Counselling has been an amazing vehicle for change in my own life and I am now privileged to support others to heal and grow in their own lives.
