The early weeks after having a baby can be an emotional rollercoaster and eating to support yourself and your new baby can be far down the list!
After having a baby your body needs to recover, and prepare itself for the demands of a new-born, and your baby needs certain nutrients to support growth. Feeding a baby can be an emotionally challenging time for parents, and parents often look for advice and support.
In our one and a half hour online session, Nutritionist Katie Angotti shares her advice on foods and nutrients to support mums and babies in the early weeks after birth with increasing energy and recovery, as well as advice on milk for the baby, whether breastfeeding or bottle-fed.
This session also offers advice on the best nutrients to support a recovery from a C-section, the specific nutrient demands for breastfeeding, how to handle breastfeeding and allergies, lactation and milk supply and advice on formula milk amongst others.
The interactive session is online, with time for Q&As. All course attendees will be provided with a handout after the session.

Katie Angotti is a Registered Public Health Nutritionist (RNutr), accredited with the Association for Nutrition and member of the Royal Society for Public Health. Katie has been practicing nutrition for over 10 years, specialising in maternal and infant health across the first 1000 days, during which time she has worked across the NHS, food industry, and as a private nutrition consultant. Katie started her own business, Katie Angotti Nutrition, following the birth of her son, and combines her passion for nutrition with hands on experience of feeding a baby and growing toddler.
